A: The arrogance of the king.

Q: Why do we need a constitutional convention in Illinois?

A: The arrogance of the kings and queens of Illinois.

Q: What can the average citizen DO about this?

A: Toss the tea into the harbor: Vote “yes” on the constitutional convention.

Q: But what if “bad” things happen because of a constitutional convention?

A: “Bad” things are already happening.

Q: What message are we sending the kings and queens of Illinois if we vote “no” on the constitutional convention?

A: Things are not so bad that we would risk exercising our democratic rights and responsibilities to change them.

Q: What if we lose?

A: We’ll live to fight another day.

Q: What if we win?

A: We’ll send a message to the kings and queens of Illinois that what they are doing is not acceptable and that we will exercise our once-in-a-generation right to change how they do business.
