Tribune endorses constitutional convention/Rally on October 12

In our biggest victory to date on the constitutional convention, the Chicago Tribune endorsed a “yes” vote on their editorial page last Sunday. The entire text is below. If you feel so moved, you can comment online at

although you will have to register first.

This makes our rally next Sunday, October 12, from 3:00-4:30 PM at Rice Park at St. Ignatius High School at 1501 W. Roosevelt Road all the more important and interesting. If you have not told us that you are coming and whom you might be bringing, please do so immediately. In case of rain, we have made arrangements to move inside, so come no matter what the weather.

If you have any questions or still have not made up your mind, please email me at gfapierce@aol.com or call me at work, 847-575-2282. We have the chance to send a real message to Springfield and change how they do business in significant ways that we cannot do in any other way. And we don't have to get these changes through a reluctant legislature, nor can they be vetoed or changed by an embattled governor.
